Steve Eppler-Epstein is a justice advocate and nonprofit consultant from Connecticut. His consulting focuses on advocacy organizations that benefit from strategic analysis/planning; executive coaching and supports; executive search; project design/development; and organizational and board training. Steve also works on a pro bono basis with immigrants and immigrant advocacy groups. Steve worked at Connecticut Legal Services from 1984 to 2017, serving as its executive director for more than 10 years. Steve is the chair of the board of the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, past board member of the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, and a member of the Harvard A2J Lab Advisory Board. He has served on Connecticut’s Access to Justice Commission, Victim Services Advisory Council, and the Board of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence. His recognitions include the Governor’s Victim Services Award, the Connecticut Bar Foundation’s Legal Services Leadership Award, and the Connecticut Bar Association’s Charles Parker Legal Services award.
