Managing Attorney of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles’ Medical - Legal Partnership Project, Ronnette Ramos, supervises attorneys working with healthcare professionals at two locations: The Children’s Clinic in Long Beach, CA and at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Outpatient Center in Willowbrook, CA. MLP attorneys identify and help patients reach their optimal health through counsel and advice, referrals, and/or direct representation in multiple legal areas that include government benefits, housing, education, employment, domestic violence, family law, immigration, expungements, health care access, and veterans care. In addition to managing the MLP Project, Ronnette oversees LAFLA’s Eviction Defense Work Group that serves to protect, preserve, and assure quality and affordable housing for tenants in Los Angeles. Ronnette graduated with honors from Boston College and received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. In 2015, the Philippine American Bar Association honored Ronnette as its Community Champion.
