Andrea Nieves is a Senior Policy Attorney at New York County Defender Services where she advocates for systemic changes to New York’s criminal punishment system. Prior to joining NYCDS she worked as an attorney at The Justice Collaborative and Brooklyn Defender Services in New York, and the Center for Death Penalty Litigation and the Fair Trial Initiative in North Carolina.
