Mytrang Nguyen is the program counsel for pro bono innovation at the Legal Services Corporation, where she is responsible for the development and implementation of LSC’s Pro Bono Innovation Fund, a competitive grant program that seeks to invest in projects that creatively leverage pro bono and private resources in the delivery of legal aid in low-income communities. To date, the Pro Bono Innovation Fund has invested $14.5 million to test and replicate effective pro bono models. Before her current position, Mytrang served as program counsel in LSC's Office of Program Performance. Before joining LSC in 2009, Mytrang was the chief operating officer at the Pro Bono Institute and director of fellowships, AmeriCorps, and Katrina programs at Equal Justice Works. She has also worked at Greater Boston Legal Services and in the Civil Rights Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. She has volunteered extensively in the Asian Pacific American community. She received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and B.A. from Simmons College.
