Michael Mulé

Michael Mulé is an attorney-advisor at the Federal Coordination and Compliance Section (FCS) of the Civil Rights Division at the United States Department of Justice, where he is part of the FCS language access courts initiative and the team that redesigned LEP.gov. FCS investigates complaints filed against recipients of federal financial assistance under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, coordinates government-wide enforcement of Title VI, and coordinates federal agency compliance with Executive Order 13166. After receiving the 2005-2007 Hanna S. Cohn Fellowship, Mr. Mulé was an attorney at the Empire Justice Center in Rochester, New York, and focused on improving access for low-income limited English proficient and deaf and hard of hearing individuals until he joined FCS in 2010.
