Lauren Lofton is the Associate Director for Student Life & Inclusion at UC Hastings School of Law. Most recently, Lauren served as the Program Attorney at Legal Aid Association of California (LAAC), where they oversaw the LawHelpCA.org website managed by LAAC, supported state-wide disaster coordination, planned trainings and conferences, and served as the 1st chair of LAAC’s board committee on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to joining LAAC, Lauren served as the Senior Subsidized Housing Policy Analyst at Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco a small non-profit organization. During that time, Lauren also provided pro bono services for San Francisco tenants facing eviction. Lauren has a professional background in facilitating elimination of bias and interpersonal communication training for: universities, non-profit organizations and for-profit companies. Lauren provides trainings at LAAC conferences on the subjects of elimination of bias in the legal profession and improvements to technology to increase access to justice for low income Californians. Lauren is a 2009 graduate of the University of California, Davis King Hall School of Law and holds a public interest law degree.
