Kathryn Frey-Balter

Kathryn Frey-Balter is currently a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Legal and Justice Studies at Stevenson University; an adjunct professor of law at University of Maryland, Carey School of Law; and a 2018 Imagining Justice in Baltimore Fellow at the Islamic, Christian, and Judaic Studies Institute in Baltimore, MD. She was an assistant federal public defender for the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Maryland from 1992-2018, and, during her tenure there, she was also an adjunct professor of law and lecturer at The Catholic University-Columbus School of Law and The George Washington University.
