Emily Flanagan joined the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA) in 2017 as the senior program associate charged with connecting public defenders to resources. Emily has more than 12 years of experience promoting global community service and development within the private and nonprofit sectors. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Emily has served with the U.S. Peace Corps in Bangladesh and as a Citizen Action AmeriCorps Volunteer with Hands On Network and Boston Cares.
