Karen is the Executive Director for Texas Legal Services Center. Karen served on the Texas Supreme Court’s Uniform Forms Taskforce and Rules Sub-committees, and currently serves on the Judicial Committee on Information Technology and the Administration and Budget Taskforce of the Texas Access to Justice Commission. She received the State Bar of Texas Poverty Law Section’s Impact Award for her work in 2011. Before joining TLSC, Karen helped to create the Travis County Law Library’s Self Help Center in Austin, Texas, and worked briefly for Travis County’s Domestic Relations Office, managing the Visitation Enforcement Program. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law and received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Texas. Karen may be reached at kmiller@tlsc.org.
