Ethical Dilemmas in Client Representation

This workshop will address several ethical dilemmas facing civil legal aid attorneys in representing clients and will provide a forum for discussion of how the rules of professional conduct apply. Session leaders will facilitate discussion among participants about various scenarios that illustrate ethical issues. Topics covered will include conflicts of interest, representing clients with diminished capacity, ghostwriting, attorney fee issues, and more. Some time will be reserved for general discussion of cases and questions from the audience.
