Ann Routt is the Co-Executive Director of the Michigan Advocacy Program (MAP) where she began her legal career as a staff attorney in 1985. MAP serves 13 counties and administers five statewide programs – Farmworker Legal Services, Michigan Poverty Law Program, the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, the Michigan Elder Justice Initiative, and Michigan Legal Help. Prior to being named Co-Executive Director in January, 2018, Ann served as Deputy Director. In 2013, Ann was recognized as a Champion of Justice by the State Bar of Michigan. Ann is a founding member and current president of the Fair Housing Center of Southeast and Mid Michigan; co-chair of the Legal Services Association of Michigan; member of the Michigan State Planning Body for the Provision of Legal Services; past-president of the state Women Lawyers Association of Michigan; and past co-chair of the Race, Ethnic and Gender Bias Awareness Committee of the Washtenaw County Bar Association.
